Last week’s lessons was on “Some things you just need to know inside and out” like the addition, subtraction, multiplication, division fact, spelling words, etc. When it comes to studying content, it’s important to know the information, study as you go and not wait until the last minute to cram. Those are just good study habits. I encouraged my students and our children to use the 80% rule. The 80% rule requires know 80% of the chapter or what you are studying inside and out. If you know 80% of the material cold, you probably know the remaining 20% and you could probably do quite well on a test. The bottom line is that if you keep up with the material as you go, reviewing the content as you go, when it comes to studying for a test, it should pretty much be a review of what you know.
