It was an interesting week in politics this week…A mayoral race in New York City, with three weak candidates resulted in an inexperienced and unseasoned candidate pulling out a win…A winning candidate for the Virginia Attorney General despite violent text that should have sunk his chance to run…A government shutdown has stressed air travel and many other aspects of the economy…A Prince is stripped of his title and luxury residence…

“Some Things, you just need to have Go take care of,” a quote I heard from Senator from Louisiana, John Neely Kennedy last week. Most likely he was talking about the shutdown, as that seems to be the one of the biggest news stories, I was folding laundry, half listening to the tv when I mulled over what the senator had just said, and jotted the quote down. After contemplating the thought here and there over the weekend, the phrase just fit following a week of major stories. “Agreed!”
In one of the most interesting mayoral races in history, both leading up to the election and the outcome and the winner. For a candidate that lost the democratic primary earlier this year to run as an independent, who had resigned as the former disgraced Governor of New York following his handling of Covid and the tragedies in the nursing homes to consider himself a viable candidate is laughable, but big donors got behind him. Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels and loyal lifetime New Yorker appeared to be the most dedicated to the city for honorable reasons, he couldn’t garner enough votes to pull out a victory. It’s surprising that for such a great city with a history of movers and shakers to have not had more qualified candidates. The new Mayor, who ran a good campaign, was able to reach many young voters, is very eloquent and handsome, has promised the moon to his supporters. His campaign of big promises of “Free Stuff,” has been compared-by some-to 8th grade Student Council President promising ‘free ice cream and Starbucks Lattes.’ Increases in taxes to the rich who have been successful to give to the poor, in an effort to move towards socialism will be an interesting maneuver for Mamdani to have success with. I have heard that he has hired an image consultant and has already stated flying private to his first conference. Socialism hasn’t worked anywhere else, but maybe free childcare, busses and governmental grocery stores is a rabbit that the former rapper will be able to pull out of a hat…”Some things, you just need to have God take care of”…
Thirty-six year old Jay Jones is the newly elected Attorney General for the Common Wealth of Virginia. Hats off to Jay for pulling off a victory after the following text messages were released:

Jay is quite the candidate. He also over came a reckless driving conviction, paid a fine and was assigned 1000 hours of community service. His community service hours were spent equally at the NAACP and the other 500 hours were at “Meet Our Moment” which was his own political campaign. Others who were convicted in the same county with such offenses were actually sentenced to jail time. Congratulations to Mr. Jones for pulling off such a feat with these two monkeys on his back. He most definitely is a politician to watch in the future. At the age of 36, we no doubt will be hearing more from this young man. Hum. ”Some things you just need to have God take care of”…

The longest governmental shutdown in history is NOT something to be be proud of. Democrats get credit for pushing the blame off on Republicans. After taking several votes, Democrats refuse to open the government. For a party that claims to represent the working class and those down and out, they really causing hardship for many of their constituents who count on services. In fact, many democrats have stated that it’s the principal of the matter and they will not vote to open the government. It seems that their hatred for a President they despise is greater than their loyalty to those they represent. Interesting. Some things you just need to have God take care of”…

Great Britain’s former Prince Andrew, in addition to having been stripped of his title-he will now be referred as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, losing his HRH AND his luxury residence. The latest demotions were added to the list prior to the release of a new book, by women who alleged a sexual relationship with Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, the former Prince. The book, Nobody’s Girl, does not paint Andrew in a favorable light. Another book recently released, The Rise and Fall of the House of York, may have also contributed. Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson who currently live at Royal Lodge, have been told to vacate. Andrew will be allowed to live in a residence on Sandringham, the King’s Estate in Norfolk, England. Incidentally, his daughter will not lose their titles. Most likely, any other person suspected of such poor and possibly criminal behavior would be subject to criminal charges/ Interesting. “Some things you just need to have God take care of”…
Human behavior and people’s choices are interesting to observe. We may try to alter our path with the choices we make or protect others from the crashes in life. However, there are some things you just need to have God Take Care Of.”
Wishing you a restful weekend ahead.-MY ❤️
